Ketubah of the Torah: Sephardic congregations read the Ketubah le-Shavuot before the Torah reading — the marriage contract between Israel and the Torah.

Tikkun Leil Shavuot: Learning through the first night until dawn, then Shaharit at sunrise — kept in shul with coffee and cake for anyone who comes.
Megillat Rut: The book of Ruth, read on Shavuot for its harvest setting and its account of loyalty.
Dairy at the table: Cheese pastries and milk dishes at one meal of the day, with meat at the other for the yom tov se'uda.
Counting the Omer: The forty-nine days from Pesah lead here; Shavuot is the fiftieth, the day the Torah was given at Sinai.
